Waste Water Treatment Plant
Benefits of Ultrasound Algae Control for a Waste Water Treatment Plant
Waste Water Treatment Plants have to contend with algae no more! The following issues can be either eliminated or better controlled with the introduction of ultrasound into the waste water lagoon.
1. Effluent levels are too high.
Effluent levels are reduced by eliminating algae with the LG Sonic ultrasound breaking apart the algae, at which time the algae cell decompose. At the same time you are reducing your BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) in the environment. If you install an LG Sonic prior to the algae bloom you are in prevention mode and the problem never occurs.
2. Both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria need to work at maximum capacity to rid the water of suspended solids.
The reason an LG Sonic ultrasound device helps stimulate proper bacteria growth is that algae and bacteria compete for the same nutruient base. By eliminating the algae, the bacteria are no longer competing.
3. Sludge levels are reduced by ultrasound.
The sludge volume is inpacted as bacterial action is actually improved when subjected to the vibration of the ultrasound waves produced by the LG Sonic. The vibrational effect improves the fluid transfer in and out of the bacteria, so they are able to transfer more nutrients.
